The University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery will open its first-ever virtual exhibition on June 17, hosting the Acrylic Painters USA 2020 National Exhibit. In response to COVID-19, the APUSA exhibition, originally planned for April 2020, would have been canceled, like so many other exhibitions around the country. The gallery instead decided to work with APUSA and museum studies major Callie York '20 to ensure that the show would happen virtually.

Acrylic Painters USA 2020 National Exhibit hosted virtually on ArtSteps.com features a full array of acrylic painting styles and work by acclaimed artists from all over the U.S., including several from the Tampa Bay area.

The opening reception will take place on June 17 from 3-5 p.m. on Zoom. The exhibition is free and will be available online to the public from June 17 to Aug. 10. The link will be posted on the gallery's social media channels and APUSA's website, acrylicpaintersusa.com, after the opening reception. Limited tickets to the virtual reception are available at eventbrite.com/e/apusa-acrylicmixed-media-2020-national-exhibit-reception-and-awards-registration-107833922164
